It is with absolute pleasure that I can announce that I have a new literary agent! And she comes from a children’s publisher background.
Anne Paris-Gazerian is the CEO of Reves de Jeunesse based in Lyon, France. However, she represents all of her authors and illustrators, around the world. Anne will represent me on everything new from January 2023 onwards, both here in the UK, in France, and Worldwide – so get in touch with her at Reves de jeunesse
On the 29th of October, I headed to an amazing Book Festival in Belgium. Boektopia is in Kortrijk Xpo and it is here that I spent my Saturday with my wonderful Belgian publisher, Van Driel Publishing and its CEO, Terence Van Driel.
It was amazing to be immersed within the book community once more! So many publishers, authors, illustrators and more importantly – readers, were there.
Boektopia is becoming the largest Bookfestival in Belgium so as a British author, it was an absolute privilege to be invited.
I am very excited to announce that I have been commissioned to write many children’s books for the Children’s publisher, BlueDot. BlueDot are based in France but write and publish children’s bilingual books, Eng/Fr.
I will be working with an amazing team of editors and illustrators to put together some books that will explore subjects such as ‘the environment’ and ‘the family’.
I was honoured to appear with my latest book, The Slow Superhero at Europe’s largest Children’s Book Festival; Bath Kids Lit Fest.
Bath Children’s Literature Festival – where books and stories come alive!
Bath Kids Lit Fest was ecstatic to reveal its varied and vibrant programme for its 10 day celebration of books, which ran from Friday 23 September until Sunday 2 October. Europe’s largest stand-alone children’s book festival welcomed household names, debut authors and a host of illustrators to Bath for an exciting line-up for all ages.
A return to Bath of much-loved national treasures Michael Rosen and Jacqueline Wilson; TV comedian Rosie Jones, award-winning writer Elle McNicoll, former CBeebies presenter Cerrie Burnell, the current Waterstone’s Children’s Laureate Cressida Cowell, well-known entertainers turned successful children’s authors -David Baddiel, Julian Clary, Richard Ayoade and Dermot O’Leary– as well as and Emma Carroll, Patrice Lawrence, Antony McGowan, Hannah Gold, Kiran Millwood Hargrave, Katherine Rundell who are all releasing new novels, are among the many who appeared alongside me at this year’s festival.
I was asked to appear at the BBC Radio Bristol studios for a LIVE interview about my books and author journey and it was amazing! A huge thank you to the tea who work tirelessly behind the scenes, making sure that all guests are looked after beforehand. Also a big thank you to the presenter, Steve Yabsley who really managed to calm my nerves through a very relaxed conversation.
